Introducing OneBoxBM
A Brief introduction to OneBoxBM (One Box Business Management)
OneBoxBM, One Box Business Management, is an online tool (SaaS) that’s designed to help small business and individuals manage the key elements of their business using one easy to use and affordable package. Our initial idea was to provide an online tool that could allow its users to manage:
- Workforce/Employees
- Clients
- Suppliers/Providers
- Assets/Inventory
- Vehicles
However, in the time between first thinking up OneBoxBM and actually starting work on the project, our initial idea grew to include.
- Workforce/Employee Management
- Client Management
- Supplier/Provider Management
- Assets/Inventory Management
- Vehicle Management
- Time Off/Leave Management
- Appointments
- Bookings
- Customer Order Tracking
- Project/Job Management
- Task Management
- Rota/Shift Management
- Employee Time Sheets
- Staff Training
- Employee Performance/Reviews
- And more.
Needless to say, taking all of our ideas and actually putting something together proved to be quite a challenge.
Since there was no way that we would be able to actually tackle such a project, certainly not in a reasonable timeframe anyway, we needed to go through our ideas and put something together that was not only achievable but something that wasn’t to diluted to be of use to any potential customers.
Afterall there’s a reason why products and services are often targeted at one specific area of business such as HR (Human Resources), vehicle tracking or task management.
Ultimately, we came back around to something very close to the initial idea which was to allow users to manage their:
- Workforce/Employees
- Time Off/Leave
- Clients
- Suppliers/Providers
- Assets/Inventory
- Vehicles
Since this was still a sizeable project, we decided to launch OneBoxBM in stages. With the initial stage including:
- Workforce/Employees
- Time Off/Leave
- Clients
- Suppliers/Providers
With the next stage being Assets/Inventory, then finally Vehicle Management.
We are now at the point where we've completed the initial stages.
Not only that, we have also gone onto complete additional stages including:
- Staff Rota Management
- Employee Time Sheet Entry Management
- Terminal Access
So what happened to the Asset/Inventory and Vehicle Management?
Once we had completed the initial work around Workforce, Time Off/Leave, Clients and Suppliers it became apparent that there was something missing. While the product had a number of useful features, many of which aren't included in competing products, it still didn't provide a full solution to any particular problem.
We have now reached a point where you can use OneBoxBM to manage your business. Not only that we believe that you can use it with confidence. What’s part of OneBoxBM right now has been full tested and is usable in a live working environment; like most subscription based (SaaS) products on the market it’s an evolving product that is under active development.
Anyone can register for an account providing they’re over 18, we even have a 14-day free trial so you can see everything it has to offer without making any commitments; you don’t need to supply any payment or billing information.

Going forward, we’re going to look towards implementing a new recruitment section to further improve our HR offering.
As to the Asset/Inventory and Vehicle management, right now it's not something we're looking to implement at this point in time.
